The Holy Cross Neighborhood Association was formed in 1981 with the mission of making our Lower Ninth Ward community the best place in the city to live and raise a family.

The HCNA interacts with City leaders on behalf of the neighborhood and plans events such as the annual Christmas and July 4th pot luck parties.

The HCNA meets on the third Thursday of every month at 6:30 p.m. at Global Green, 5400 Douglass St. Dues are $20/individual and $30/family. To vote in the annual May election, you must pay dues on  the date of the previous month’s meeting or before. You do not have to be a member of the HCNA to attend meetings. All you need is an interest in supporting others and in being supported as we work together to make Holy Cross and the Lower Ninth Ward the best place in the city to live and raise a family.

To become a member, contact our secretary Bette Perez at, join at a meeting or download this form.
