PCAB Quarterly Meeting Sept. 21
The fifth district will hold its meeting on Saturday, Sept. 21 from 11 a.m. to noon at the police station, 3900 N. Claiborne. Residents are invited to attend and engage in a collaborative problem-solving process that supports the community and the police to enhance public safety.
Clear Catch Basins to Prevent Flooding
With hurricane season upon us, it’s important to keep catch basins clear to prevent flooding. Please pick up trash and remove leaves and debris from catch basins. The City now allows residents to adopt storm drains and report on the status. Visit the Adopt-a-Catchbasin site.
HCNA Meetings Third Thursday
The Holy Cross Neighborhood Association holds its monthly meeting on the third Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at Global Green, 5400 Douglass St.
5330 St. Claude Grocery Approved
On Feb. 21, City Council approved a conditional use permit for alcohol sales with provisos ensuring that the building at 5330 St. Claude is a grocery store. There are also plans for a separate pharmacy in the building. The store is now open. Stay tuned for more updates as plans progress. Review provisos.
